Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

State College is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and State College follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Found this gem hidden in State College. Excellent fast service, the food was out of this world and the staff was so friendly!

The food was great, but not my type. I liked the flavor, but need to try few more times to get used to the technique. I also prefer restaurants accommodate different preferences, such as no pork option. We asked for no pork, but prefer to have some halal/vegetable/fish only option without meat.

The last time I had Hot Pot that was this good was when I was in Wenzhou. This is a little closer and is better. I had the Noodle hot pot and my daughter had the Veggie hot pot. We shared and both were very delicious! 😋

It’s my first time to visit there. I ate in this restaurant last Saturday, the service is extremely good and their hot pot has various types of flavor, and they are surprisingly tasty! Actually, it spent me two meals for finishing only one pot.😅
